Thankfully the band never intended to enter any beauty contests! No matter, here they are anyway with a little info on each!

Geoff - Guitar & Vocals

Bob - Lead Guitar & Vocals

Eddy - Bass & Vocals

Claim to fame: Backed the Swinging Blue Jeans

Formed in 1994 the band had just one mission, to play music from possibly the greatest era of rock and roll, the 50’s and 60’s. Whilst other musicians where forming duo’s and playing to backing tracks Get Back decided to do it the proper way, with guitars, bass and drums all topped up with great multi part vocal harmonies.

Two members of the original line-up remain today. Richard (drums) and Geoff (rhythm guitar) started the band along with Tony on lead guitar and Paul on bass. Sadly Tony suffered a nasty hand injury before the band had its first gig (how rock 'n' roll is that?). Enter Dave replacing Tony on lead and the first gigging line up of the band was born.

A year or so later Dave left for personal reasons and after a long search Bob was asked to join the band on lead guitar. This line up continued until 1998 when Geoff left to join the Jailbreakers.  In Early 1999 Paul also left the band and the two where replaced by a re-hired Dave and new find Eddy on Bass.

The band continued with this line up until Dave left again during 2001  to pursue work with the Church. For a while, now without a rhythm guitarist, the band took a break until a chance meeting in the spring of 2003 between Richard and Geoff at a petrol station. After a long discussion over an overcooked pasty Geoff agreed to rejoin the band and the line up has remained the same ever since.

Charity Work

Over the years Get Back have raised a significant amount of money for charities. As you might imagine requests for the band to play at charity events come thick and fast. Rather than leave this work to chance the band choose to do their own thing. Typically the band organize one or two charity events each year for a good cause.

In early 2008 the band put on a charity show for our regular followers with proceeds going to Cancer Research, a cause they are all passionate about. See the results at the links below!

During 2006 the band raised over £500 for the Cambridge MAGPAS first responders team, an amazing bunch of people who dedicate much of their free time to providing first line medical support especially for road accidents.
